Types of Care

Resident Care

At Snyder Village Health Center, the comfort and care of residents is our top priority. Our exceptional nursing staff provides 24 hour coverage, works hand-in-hand with area physicians, and is knowledgeable in all aspects of skilled care. Our Certified Nursing Assistants are trained to take care of the specific needs of each resident, whether they require short-term or long-term care. Diagnostic services such as EKG’s, x-rays and lab work are available to our residents.

Rehabilitation Care

Our admissions nurse works with area hospitals on a daily basis to transition patients in need of rehabilitative services to the Health Center for short-term stays. Snyder Village offers a variety of therapy services.

Respite Care

Snyder Village Health Center provides short-term care for loved ones when their regular care-givers are not available. Respite Care can fill the gap during vacations, business trips or for any reason that your loved one may need care.

Dementia Special Care Neighborhood

Our Dementia Special Care Neighborhood is a secure wing specifically designed for residents with Alzheimer’s disease and other memory-related disorders. Residents can move about independently and enjoy the lounge, dining room, activity room, whirlpool room and outdoor enclosed courtyard. Activities are planned to support the existing capabilities of our residents wile reaffirming their dignity and self-esteem.

Hospice Care

Our staff works with members of the hospice teams from area hospitals and agencies to provide terminally ill residents comfort and compassion. Hospice nurses, social workers and chaplains make frequent visits to these residents.

Wound Care

Snyder Village provides specialized wound care for residents. A wound care nurse examines our residents to make sure their wounds are treated according to their doctor’s orders and to see if any additional care is needed.
